Loose Leash II, April 3rd

This class will build on the skills and exercises learned in Loose Leash I, adding distractions and new environments. Teach your dog to walk on a loose leash, in the presence of other dogs, people, and good smells!

Rally Novice I, April 6th

Join us for 4 one-hour classes: An introduction to the sport of Rally Obedience, this class will cover many of the Rally Novice signs, as well as tips for working your dog through a Rally Novice course. Join John for four weeks of Rally Novice fun! Watch for Rally Novice 2 to learn the rest of the signs complete your Rally Novice journey!

Intro to Scent Detection, April 9th

Join Laura for 4 one hour classes to learn about the sport of scent detection! Scent detection is a fun sport where you and your dog work to find scents such as wintergreen, pine, or anise. Searches are all done on leash, and you can use food throughout a search, even in competition. This intensive will cover the basics of scent detection, including preparing scents, how scent travels, teaching an indicator, and putting it all together in searches.

Start Date: April 9th, 2025, Wednesdays, 5pm to 6pm

Instant Recall I, April 6th

Join us for 4 one-hour classes devoted to helping you to teach your dog to come when called, instantly and enthusiastically! In dog training, coming when called is referred to as a recall. Your success will depend on practicing what you learn in the classroom in a variety of places such as parks, on the trail or at home. The exercises you learn are fun, practical and address a variety of different tactics for teaching your dog to come when called!

Start Date: April 6th, 2025, Sundays, 10:00am to 11:00am

Pre-requisites:  None!

Advanced Scent Detection, April 8th

Join Laura for 4 one hour classes to continue your scent detection journey! In this class, we’ll introduce more challenging searches, build on what you learned in Intro to Scent Detection, and start adding distractions into our search.

Start Date: April 8th, 2025, Tuesdays, 5pm to 6pm

Leash Club, April 5th
CA$199.99

LeashClub is an intentional walking group in which participants practice leash skills, trail/path etiquette, dealing with real life distractions and challenges. Coaching and tips are provided to help dog-handler teams be more successful. LeashClub is social in nature and provides a weekly opportunity to spend time with other like-minded participants.

Leash Club is a 4-week intensive, with a different location each month.

Start Date: April 5th, 2025, Saturdays, 10am - 11am

Pre-requisites: 

  1. Must have participated in LLW 1&2 intensives (or equivalent).

  2. Dogs do need to have some ability to walk on leash along with other dogs (class participants)

  3. Dogs do need to be able to exercise self control (or be able to be re-directed readily) from environmental distractions (ie other people, dogs, bikes, squirrels, etc)
