Good Dog Behaviour Consulting

Specialized training for dogs with behaviour problems

Dog behaviour becomes a problem when it interferes with the well-being and happiness of both you and your dog. This isn’t just a case of not knowing a certain skill (which can be addressed with Group Classes), but a deeper issue that needs to be addressed with specialized training. At Dogs In The Park, we have over twenty five years of experience addressing a wide variety of behaviour problems.

Dog behaviour problems can include:

  • Separation anxiety

  • Aggression towards people or other dogs

  • Toilet training issues

  • Eating things that are not food

  • Space or toy guarding

  • Profound fears, such as thunderstorm phobia

You’ll be in great hands with our Good Dog Behaviour instructors, led by Founder and co-owner Sue Alexander. Sue holds three certifications and industry designations: the Certificate of Professional Dog Training (Knowledge And Skills Assessed), Certificate of Behaviour Consulting Canine (Knowledge Assessed), and Certified Dog Behaviour Consultant. She has helped over 3,500 dogs with behaviour problems over the course of her career, and believes that each dog is a Good Dog, no matter their issues.

What Is The Good Dog Program?

If you are a previous student with Good Dog, please read carefully as the course details have changed! We are now also offering the Good Dog Program in an online-only format.

Enrollment begins with a two-hour virtual intake appointment where we will complete a comprehensive assessment of your dog’s history, observe his behaviour, and build a personalized behaviour training plan.

You and your dog will progress through our training matrix with a combination of private lessons, group classes, and virtual classes. As you achieve certain milestones, you’ll begin to see measurable changes in your dog’s behaviour.
